The Vive is a product from HTC and Valve. The HTC Vive promises a first class VR experience with the latest technology. When you put on the Vive headset, you are immediately surrounded by a world full of surprises. Just walk around freely in this world and look at everything – the Chaperone assistance system ensures that you stay within your playing area and nothing happens to you. The graphic representation will convince you: very real and surreal at the same time.
You can find more about minimum PC requirements and technical details below the text. The front camera fades in real physical elements in the virtual world and thus creates a connection to the real world. With 32 headset sensors it allows you a freedom of movement of 360 degrees and a field of view of 110 degrees. An adjustable headset strap on the HTC Vive ensures a perfect fit and convenience, with which we can adjust the headset as we think is correct, so that the headset can be used for longer. The VR screen from HTC Vive has a resolution of 1080 x 1200 pixels per eye and an update rate of 90 Hz, which ensures spectacular graphics and completely natural movements. In addition, the Vive nose pad offers great comfort even for most people who wear glasses. The controller was specially built for VR. The controllers ensure intuitive control and movement. The controllers also have realistic haptic feedback in high resolution in the form of HD. The base stations cover a play area of 360 degrees, the synchronization of the Vive is wireless. In order to be able to play with the Vive, we need an open area of 2 m x 1.5 m and there must be a distance of 5 meters between the base station.
You can buy the HTC Vive for € 699 and get SteamVR ™ tracking, including the Google Tilt Brush, Everest VR, Richie’s Plank Experience and one month of free access to the VIVEPORT subscription. As long as the promotional package is available.
