Electronic Arts and Motive announced during EA Play Live that the sci-fi survival horror classic Dead Space is being remaked from the ground up for next-gen consoles and PC.
Phillippe Ducharme, senior producer on Dead Space said; “We have a passionate team at Motive that treats this remake as a declaration of love to the series. When we modernized the game We contacted passionate fans right from the start and invited us to give us feedback so that we can deliver exactly the Dead Space game that they want and that new players will also like. “
Thanks to the Frostbite engine, the horror and immersion are raised to a new level for the franchise in the new edition with breathtaking graphics, sound and controls. Fans will experience improved storylines, characters, gameplay mechanics and more as they battle to survive a nightmare come true aboard the abandoned dismantling spaceship USG Ishimura and uncover the ghastly mystery of the fate of the crew and ship in the process.
In Dead Space, Isaac Clarke is an ordinary engineer on a mission to repair the huge and sprawling USG Ishimura spaceship, only to find out that something has gone terribly wrong. The ship’s crew was slaughtered and infected by something strange – and Isaac’s beloved partner Nicole is on board somewhere. Now, alone, armed with only his tools and technical skills, Isaac must try to solve the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura. Isaac is locked up together with hostile creatures, the so-called “necromorphs”, and not only fights against the escalating horrors of the ship, but also increasingly threatens to lose his mind.
