Saturday the gong is sound for the European preliminary round of this year’s Summoners War: World Arena Championship 2021, the worldwide esports event for the free-to-play title Summoners War: Sky Arena.
The 16 best players in the region will fight for one of the eight places in the Europa Cup on August 14, 15 and 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The SWC 2021, which will be held worldwide, will initially be divided into three regional cups: the Europe Cup, the America Cup and the Asia-Pacific Cup. Two players from each cup will make it to the final of the SWC 2021. This year there are two former SWC finalists among the European qualifiers: Chene (2018) and Rosith (2019). Meanwhile, eight new players dare to take their first steps on the competition stage.
After completing the European preliminary round, the eight best players will take part in the Europa Cup on October 23, this time for prize money of US $ 20,000 and two places in the final of the 2021 World Championship. The total prize pool of the esports event amounts to US $ 210,000. Last year over two million e-sports enthusiasts watched the competition, including more than 250,000 who cheered for the final.
