The developer and publisher Riot Games announced the “RiotX Arcane” event. It’s a month-long event that brings together all of the products to celebrate Riot’s first animated series, Arcane League of Legends.
We will experience in-person and cross-media events throughout the month that evolve with each act of the series, along with in-game activations across all Riot titles.
With the month-long celebration and release of Arcane starting, the Riot ecosystem is in better shape than ever. In October, over 180 million active players were immersed in the League of Legends universe * – an all-time high for the company.
Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot Games Said: “With every new step we take – from launching new games to expanding our esports offerings – we’re always focused on delivering exciting, relevant content to our community that reflects the fundamental ideas behind League of Legends stay loyal, ”
The month-long event kicks off with the League of Legends World Cup, which debuts some of Riot’s most popular music and entertainment experiences to date. This year’s opening show of the World Cup (presented by Mastercard) merges gaming, competitions and entertainment. Grammy winners Imagine Dragons take us on a journey through Piltover and Zaun along with PVRIS, Bea Miller, JID and Denzel Curry. The opening show begins on Sunday, November 7th at 1:00 am CET and will air on lolesports.com, as well as on YouTube and Twitch.
A little later on the same day, the global premiere of “RiotX Arcane” will take place at 01:30 am CET, which will be aired on Twitch (via the “Riot Games” channel and the channels of Twitch streamers) and Arcane.com . An innovative red carpet for media and streamers representing over 30 countries around the world will be rolled out to celebrate the global premiere at Riot headquarters in Los Angeles and will broadcast the event to their communities. Arcane is the first Netflix series to be broadcast exclusively on Twitch and in which content creators can exclusively co-stream their reactions to the first episode live.
