Independent game developers Boreal Mist Studio has announced that their game Project Apax have an free playable demo on Steam.

Project Apax is a nostalgic old school RPG with a deep narrative and interactive battle system inspired by great classics like Final Fantasy IX or Golden Sun. With an appealing anime style and neat VFX, Project Apax immerses you in an animated movie. Join Laia and Evan, two young graduated Apprentices from the Kingdom of Agni, in their adventure to face the powerful Kingdom of Gea.
Apax is set in a fantasy world aims to convey a deep story. It takes at Iberis, a fantasy and magic world that takes references from different cultures and mythologies, like celtiberian, nordic, japanese or chinese, among others.

Story
For a few years now, the Kindom of Gea started a worrying militarization campaign, causing an escalation of tension with their neighbours. Evan and Laia, two young recently graduated Apprentices, have received the assignmentfrom the Kingdom of Agni to monitor their conflictive neighbour, and extract any information that could be useful in the face of a seemingly inevitable war. Nevertheless none of them is aware of the magnitude of the events that are to come and in which they will be embarked to protect everything they love.
