Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith expansion

Electronic Arts and Bioware announced in a live stream by the development team that Legacy of the Sith, the upcoming expansion of Star Wars: The Old Republic, will be released on December 14th.

Some Legacy of the Sith content was also featured on the livestream, including new story content revealing the ultimate plan of the renegade Sith Darth Malgus, fighting styles to expand options for gamers, and various usability improvements.

The launch of Legacy of the Sith also marks the start of the game’s 10th anniversary celebrations, which will span all of next year 2022.

About Legacy of the Sith

Legacy of the Sith builds on the dynamic story of Star Wars: The Old Republic and sends us on a Star Wars adventure to secure a planet important to our group as we uncover the ultimate plan of renegade Sith Lord Darth Malgus. In addition to numerous game comfort upgrades, the expansion also brings the new fighting styles function, which extends the SWTOR gaming experience with new options.

Legacy of the Sith leads us on the hunt for Darth Malgus on the water planet Manaan and other remote corners of the galaxy. The comprehensive update increases the maximum achievable player level by 5 to level 80. In addition, the toughest challenges to date in Star Wars: The Old Republic are introduced with new community missions, including a flashpoint in a grave on a mountain top on the remote planet Elom and include an operation on the wreckage of a research station in deep space.

About the expansion

The latest expansion includes the new Combat Styles feature that takes SWTOR’s customized Star Wars experience to a new level. With fighting styles, we fulfill our ultimate Star Wars fantasy by independently selecting a class story and combining it with skill sets from related tech or power user classes. Active, returning and new game ends can look forward to improvements in the creation of our next Star Wars character thanks to the revised character creation. In addition, updates to the object and equipment system and the streamlined class design add to the Star Wars: The Old Republic experience.
