Rugby 22 – Release date announced

NACON and Eko Software announced the official list of playable national teams and the release date of Rugby 22, the latest in the rugby franchise. Eko Software, known for their know-how and experience with the release of Rugby 18 and Rugby 20, are now working on the next rugby game in the series.

Rugby 22 builds on the elements of its predecessor and also brings numerous innovations, such as a more realistic AI, a new difficulty mode, the use of photogrammetry, with which the faces of the athletes look more realistic, and many other adjustments that improve the gameplay.

New well-known national teams have been inducted into the rugby license, including the Wallabies, the official Australian team, and the New Zealand All Blacks, known for their sporting achievements.

Features of Rugby 22

  • Official Licenses – Rugby 22 includes most of the most popular national teams with official players and jerseys, including teams from New Zealand, Australia, France, Fiji, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Wales, Japan and Georgia.
  • Single- or Multiplayer – Rugby 22 includes both single and multiplayer modes (local or online) and a variety of game modes that pay homage to one of the world’s most demanding sports.
  • Career mode – In the career mode we have to build our own team and recruit professionals in order to ultimately reach the top division.
  • A real rugby experience – Thanks to motion capture recordings, the animations in Rugby 22 are even more realistic than before and, thanks to the tactical depth of the game, ensure a generally realistic rugby simulation.
  • Training – Thanks to the new tutorials in the game, even newbies learn the basics of the sport and can train extensively in order to ultimately become a professional.

The game will be released on January 27, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC.
