A beautiful and merciless world
Created by Hajime Issayama, Attack on Titan is one of the world’s most popular manga series of all time and has been adapted into magazines, novels, live-action series and video games.
The award-winning work from Japan is a gripping odyssey set in a futuristic world and dealing with themes of war, revenge, morality, fairness and kindness. It takes its readers on a journey to the island of Paradis, where humans live within three concentric walls to protect themselves from titans, humanoid giants whose sole aim is to destroy them.
“The visual and narrative elements of the anime left a lasting impression on many of us. We’re excited to introduce cosmetic items from this critically acclaimed universe. This is one of our largest collections, with ten outfits designed for both killers and survivors. Our approach to bringing the iconic 2D anime into our 3D world was both exciting and challenging as we wanted to honor the original art direction while remaining true to the essence of Dead by Daylight. We are very proud of this collection and can’t wait for the fans to get their hands on the outfits.” Said Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight.
“When we develop cosmetic items for the game, we look at each outfit as an opportunity to tell a story. They’re visual representations of story and backstories that are unique to each game character. The Attack on Titan collection was exciting in that we fused worlds and genres together. We did asked us how our characters would react if they were thrown into this universe. Who would they most resemble?” Said Xavier Etchepare, Art Director for Dead by Daylight.
“An outfit is like a snapshot – a moment in someone’s life that is immortalized. We dug deep into each character’s backstory to make each outfit as representative of their emotions or values as possible. The Cloak of Historia , as seen on Kate, for example, is meant to reflect her kindness, since in the anime she wears it to visit an orphanage. We could have chosen many different outfits for Kate, but we wanted this core value that she shares with Historia Reiss shares, reflect. The collection is full of such details.” Explains Rose Li, project manager and responsible for the Dead by Daylight in-game store.
Without fighting there is no winning
We will be richly rewarded. As a result, everyone who logs into Dead by Daylight will receive the Training Session Crest as a gift to show off in-game. Four more exclusive lucky charms will be made available when a certain number of outfits are purchased through the in-game shop. These include the Scout Regiment crest, the Military Police crest, the Wall Garrison crest and the Wall Titan.
