Warner Bros. Games announced MultiVersus, a new free to play platform fighting game. Teams of two made up of legendary characters and universes compete against each other in duels.
MultiVersus, developed by Player First Games, is due to appear in 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC and offers full crossplay support, dedicated server-based rollback network code, seasons full of content and an ever-expanding cast. Pre-registration for upcoming game tests is now possible on MultiVersus.com.
In MultiVersus, a number of popular characters compete against each other in epic battles, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC Super Heroes & DC Super-Villains); Shaggy (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom and Jerry; Dog Jake and Finn (adventure time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); a special new character named Reindog and many more to come. In the battles there is a big focus on cooperative online play. There is an extensive set of combat mechanics that make fighting in the game very special.
Characteristics have individual fighters and each has customizable sets of moves that dynamically complement each other with those of other characters in the battle for supremacy. From the unexpected combination of Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth and Shaggy’s sandwich bullet to Arya Stark’s ability to change as a complement to Superman’s laser vision. The fun multiplayer duels of the game take place against the background of various newly interpreted environments from fantastic worlds, such as Batman’s Batcave, the tree fort of Jake and Finn and many more. MultiVersus also delivers intense 1-on-1 duels and a fight each against each other for four players, in which only one or one can be at the top in the end.
