Warner Bros. Games announced MultiVersus Open Beta for July 26th. It will be available for PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as PC with full crossplay and dedicated servers based on rollback netcode.
The free-to-play platformer, developed by Player First Games, will also offer an Early Access period starting July 19th, giving us the chance to experience the MultiVersus Open Beta before it actually launches. Early Access will be available to all of us who participated in the MultiVersus Closed Alpha and those who received a code via TwitchDrops.
Additionally, a new gameplay trailer for MultiVersus is also being released today, showcasing the Giant from Space for the first time, which will be playable on July 19th. The giant from space is one of 16 characters that will be available in the game.
The other characters are Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and the Tasmanian Devil aka Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); dog Jake and Finn (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe) and a special new character called Reindeer Dog.
The Open Beta and Early Access also include eight different maps including the Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), and Scooby’s Haunted House (Scooby-Doo), as well as a variety of different ways to experience the game, such as the team-based Season 2 -vs-2 co-op, 1vs1 matches, 4-player general competition, co-op vs AI matches, custom online lobbies, the lab (practice mode), tutorials and support of local games with up to four participants.
